Haiti Fundraiser
Thank you for participating in the Haiti Bake Sale by either bringing delicious baked goods or donating to the cause. We raised $1545.00 just from the bake sale! All proceeds will go directly to the Global Orphanage Project in Haiti.
Prayer Retreat
Our prayer ministry felt compelled to organize a prayer retreat to pray for our church, the members, and this world. God sent exactly 40 people to Grace Prayer Mountain on January 15-16 and it was a very blessed time of prayer.

Caravan back to Rowland Heights!
Prayer topics:
-Good Stewards Church: Elementary, Junior High, and High School educational departments
-Good News Chapel life groups, community groups, and affinity groups
-GNC Outreach/Core members
-Haiti and other world events
-Missions and missionaries
-GNC pastors
Please continue to pray for these topics!
Pray for Haiti

On Tuesday, January 12th, a 7.0 magnitude earthquake hit Haiti, leaving many buildings destroyed, millions affected, and hundreds of thousands injured or dead. Please take time to pray for the people of Haiti who are affected by this massive earthquake.
If you feel led to donate money to this cause, visit www.worldvision.org. GNC will also be holding a bake sale on Sunday, January 17th. All proceeds will go directly to orphans in Haiti from a privately funded organization, Global Orphan Project.
Angel Tree Update

This year we received the maximum amount of volunteers for Angel Tree! Thank you for all who volunteered. I’m sorry if you really wanted to participate this year. We will have more opportunities. For those of you who are participating by buying presents, please bring the presents to church no later than Sunday, December 20th. We need volunteers to help deliver the presents after lunch that day. Thank you again!
Update: Priase God! Angel tree was a success. Every volunteer brought a gift and we had more and enough volunteers to pass out gifts
Thank you GNC!
Midnight Missions!
Praise God for a great time at Midnight Missions. 23 of us went and served dinner for hundreds of people on Skid Row. Mai, the volunteer coordinator, gave us an overview of Midnight Mission’s visions and history before we started so we had a good idea of who we were working with. Most of us expressed that we want to go back and build a relaitonship with this organization. Here are some pictures.

All of us

Praying before we started

The silly dish washers

Melon choppers

Haha Dag.

This section was for the men who were in the Midnight Missions program.

Look at little Irene.

I just added this because he looked so funny… Don’t know how to turn the picture.

We went over the limit haha. I think we fit almost 20 in this elevator!
Angel Tree Ministry

Angel Tree is part of Prison Fellowship. Its goal is to give Christmas gifts to prisoners’ children on behalf of their parents in prison. GNC is partnering with this ministry in order to help serve the prisoners in County Prison and the children who are going to spend Christmas without one parent or both parents. We need a lot of people to volunteer and help donate gifts. Gifts are due by Sunday, December 20th. We will be hand-delivering them to the families that afternoon. Please watch out for the outreach team and let them know if you would like to participate. You can also send an email to gnc.outreach@gmail.com.
